      • Buying Guide: Dishwashers

Dishwashers are more hygienic, more efficient and more convenient than washing dishes by hand. This guide walks you through the options so you can find the best dishwasher for you.

aeg 60cm proclean extra tall tub xxl freestanding dishwasher is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 76.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great quality, super quiet and a decent clean I was upsold to the AEG machine by local retailer, and after purchase I was second guessing if it were worth the higher price tag. Fast forward to delivery, the machine was simple to install and caused no dilemmas. The dishwasher is super quiet but manages a good clean. I love the options for 30/60 minute cycle, or the longer settings for more soiled loads. The delayed start is also a great feature. The adjustable internal racks make stacking an ease, allowing for pots and pans no trouble. Slightly bland to look at but minamilst and clean all the same I would certainly recommend this product

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Several Problems The machine has shut down twice during cycles. Once it did not warm up at all during Pro cycle and just kept going and going. Restarting it solved it. Today it jammed showing .30 on the dial Checking the manual it said to turn off the water and call a technician but turning off the water and restarting it solved the problem.for now. The rubber seal near the door keeps coming out and is difficult to push back in. We have only had the machine about 3 months and are not happy with these problems We have not found this machine easy to use. Initially it did not clean properly which we discovered was our fault because we had not locked down the filter correctly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Efficient I purchased my F77602MOP Dishwasher from Domayne Kotara after a recommendation from the sales person. I have had the dishwasher about 3 weeks and it works beautifully. Very quiet, easy to use, cleans perfect every time and dries everything. The main reason I choose it was due to a standard 5 year warranty, I think that said a lot about the quality of the machine. The delivery service was fantastic, phone call the day before confirming delivery, a phone call on the day saying morning or afternoon delivery and a phone call 30 mins prior to delivery. Delivered by one of the nicest delivery guys I have had in a long time. Great work... Great product so far

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A fan of AEG! We are fans of AEG, as our previous dishwasher lasted 20 years! Love the spacious interior, the fold-down plate holders, and the flexibility of moving the cutlery basket, as it seems to hold more than our old one. It washes well and there have been no dirty spots left on crockery and cutlery. We were happy to go with the less fancy model, as we are not likely to use many wash programmes. It is also quiet. I do, however, miss the option to 'rinse' that we had with the old model. I hope that the plastic components last and I am used to a different door release - not just a tug. Overall we are satisfied with our purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AEG Dishwasher F77602M0P Have had this dishwasher for over 2 months now and works great. Replaced a 4 year old LG where the pump died and wasn't worth the cost of repair. It is much quieter (especially since we run the dishwasher after 11pm on off peak power). Full cycle time is about the same 2.5hrs, dishes come out clean and dry and even does a great job on the pans and oven dishes. Also if you have young kids with itchy fingers, you will love the power button being on the top of the door, as no more itchy fingers turning it off mid cycle (it does take getting used to pushing it before closing the door) Generally good configurability of the space and takes big pots, but the next model up did allow more options for folding up the different racks, still don't feel that was worth the extra $200

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect I previously had an AEG dishwasher in my home back in Edinburgh before I moved to NZ. It was 10+ years old and looked and worked as if it was new. That home had a few AEG appliances and they were all superb. When the Fisher & Paykel in my new NZ home packed in about 2 months after I moved in I had only one brand in mind for replacing it. This model seems to be particular to A/NZ and after having used it for a while I think it's probably better than the one I previously owned. Inside it has XXL embossed on the metal door covering. A title it deserves as it is HUGE inside. My old AEG struggled with long stemmed wine glasses but this one is tall enough at the top to take plates vertically. Although it's free standing and not built in its power on/off switch is located in the edge of the door and not on the front. You have to press and hold to turn it on. This is great, if you have little ones with curious fingers, as it makes it pretty much tamper proof. They can't turn it on and, once the door is closed and it's running, they can't alert the program settings. It has several programs to choose from. The automatic is my preference as it can often be the quickest and never without compromise. Plates are always spotless, even hard baked in food on casserole dishes comes off no problem. When you start the Automatic program it says "2:03" on the door display. It seems to take 3 minutes to pre and load with water. From there it re-adjusts the time and typically takes only 40minutes to complete. It's quiet too, to my ears anyway. I like to run cold water over each item before placing it in. I think it's just stupid putting lumps of foods in a dishwasher, it's not a waste disposal unit. I don't know if it's true but I like to believe I'm extending the life of my dishwasher by not inflicting lumps of lose food on it to dispose of.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brilliant This replaced an old Fisher & Payne's dishwasher that took 2 hours to run. This has a 30 minute cycle that has cleaned everything so far without the need for a second wash or hand washing. No issues at all. Would definitely recommend this dishwasher
