BLUE SEPTEMBER IS A FUN WAY OF DELIVERING A SERIOUS MESSAGE
Blue September is an international campaign which has been running for six years, raising close to $2,000,000 in Australia alone for cancer research. The campaign is run across 5 countries, including USA, UK, Ireland and New Zealand. In 2013, the campaign is set to be bigger than ever with the introduction of the Blue September Wristband, which is scheduled to launch in August at all Harvey Norman stores, with sales continuing all through September! With 193 franchises around Australia, we hope to make a giant impact on this year's Campaign.
Some of the most common cancers causing death in men are: lung cancer, prostate cancer, bowel cancer, melanoma and testicular cancer. Unfortunately the list doesn't stop there. There are many other cancers that commonly affect men, have a high mortality rate and which are often preventable through lifestyle choices. These include cancers of the kidney, liver, head and neck, oesophagus and bladder.
This year's beneficiaries for the campaign are Australian Prostate Cancer Research and the Australian Cancer Research Foundation.
