sony 21 100w channel sound bar with subwoofer is rated out of 5 by 62.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Newbie65 from Nice features but could have been better. This soundbar will improve the quality of sound coming from your tv but it does have limitations depending on the size of your room. There is a slight lip sync issue, which is mentioned in the instructions but you don't find this out until after purchase and there is no way to correct this. When using the optical connection, with the supplied lead, I found that I needed the volume turned up full to get decent sound. Using an analogue lead to the headphone socket gave the best volume. I have my bar placed on a unit sitting underneath. It does block the tv sensor. It was very easy to set up and looks nice. Over all, it does as it is supposed to but could be so much better.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Active Pensioner 02 from Good Basic Sound System to support a TV This sound bar was bought to accompany a 4K 49" TV in a medium sized room. It is a basic system at a basic price, well suited to non specialist users. I found it relatively simple to set up despite rather sketchy instructions. The performance is adequate rather than sparkling, - the bass sub woofer is, frankly, rather disappointing. This is not the system for those wanting very high definition and volume, but it is a useful addition to standard TV sound in a small to a medium size room with the minimum of fuss, to improve watching TV and films considerably.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Alfarome from Fitting to soundbar bracket could be better The back of the soundbar has only two keyholes for presumably hanging on a wall. Ours is fitted to a soundbar bracket for fitting to a cantilever TV stand and there are no threaded inserts on the back of the soundbar for secure fitting to a bracket. Only the two keyholes and the correct size screws are not supplied by Sony. We are finding it difficult to get the precise size screws to fit the keyholes. Again, two threaded inserts should also be at the back of the soundbar for those who want to fit the soundbar below the TV on a cantilever stand. Otherwise the sound improvement over the standard TV speakers is better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by forgey from just the right size I was looking at other Sony soundbars, but with my new 42'' Sony tv they would have blocked an inch or so of the bottom of the screen, as well as the remote signal, as the stand is quite low. The ht-ct 180 is only 2'' high and sits below the screen, and allows remote signals (albeit bounced off the ceiling) to function. As for sound quality, well pleased, good base for movies, and plays my walkman back great. At 180 watts it is too powerful to play on full volume in my 18ft x 13ft lounge, so would suit most homes. A really good upgrade from the tv speakers, which seem to get weaker these days as tvs get slimmer.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Luke2016 from Beware lip sync issues We bought this sound bar with a new Sony Bravia 50 inch Smart TV from Harvey Norman a month ago. The sound is good, but unfortunately the significant lip sync issues render this sound bar useless. The lip sync issues are most prominent streaming TV (e.g. Netflix) and watching Blu ray movies. Not so noticeable watching free-to-air TV. We have spent countless hours and several hundred extra dollars trying to correct the issue, but to no avail.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Safety Sam from Not what I would expect from Sony I bought this product as a gift for a relative, on the basis of my experience with an earlier version (SA-CT60). After installation I could not believe how poor it was in comparison (should have read some of the other reviews) to my own one. The sound is tinny and there is almost no base out of the so called sub-woofer. Unlike the CT60 there is no treble or base control so you only have the factory set sound levels. I have been a great fan of Sony products in the past but this experience will make me more likely to look at other manufacturers. I certainly would not recommend this sound bar to anyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Gothnanny from Brilliant sound. We bought this to go with our new Sony 43" UHD t.v. The sound on the t.v. Itself is not great, but this sound bar is just fantastic. It has several adjustments for surround sound, voice and sub woofer. We have placed the wireless subwoofer behind our armchairs, so when watching films, we get the full surround sound experience! We love the fact that it has Bluetooth, so I can now listen to the music from my phone on decent speakers! We are extremely happy with our purchase, and would recommend.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Yo yo from Good but issues Good sound but does things like switches off without me telling it to, when not in use. Would love to control sound, at least volume, from tv remote, rather than having another remote to lose. These are important things but no clear instructions to indicate if it is possible to the above.
