It doesn't take a bulky machine to capture your memories and adventures in stunning detail - the Sony 18.2 Cybershot Digital Camera fits right in your pocket, ready to go.
The Sony Cybershot HX90V Digital Camera has a 24mm-720mm lens capable of rendering a wide range of shots at various zoom levels. Featuring ZEISS T* multi-layer anti-reflective coating, the digital camera’s lens prevent unwanted flare effects and minimise surface ghosting.
Improved Light Sensitivity
Featuring an Exmor R 18.2MP CMOS sensor, the Sony HX90V camera brings more detail and vibrancy to your pictures. The Cybershot digital camera can let in more light and has higher sensitivity, keeping each shot sharp and vibrant even in low-light conditions.
Using its BIONZ X image processor, the Sony HX90V delivers realistic pictures by minimising noise and maintaining optimal colours. To further improve image quality, the Cybershot has a high-contrast OLED Tru-Finder accurately displaying real-time previews before each shot.
Adapt to Your Needs
Re-map frequently selected functions to easily accessible keys and buttons on the Sony digital camera for extra convenience. The HX90V also lets you shoot in varying light conditions, as it comes with 4 exposure modes, allowing you to capture the best possible shot in different settings.
Convenient LCD Design
For quick and great selfies, just flip the Cybershot camera’s LCD up to 180-degrees for a quick framing check. The HX90V digital camera’s hinged LCD also lets you capture low-angle shots, providing a clear view of your chosen subject.
With Just a Touch
Pair your mobile device to the Sony Cybershot (via NFC)* to take advantage of its One-Touch Remote and One-Touch Sharing functions. Use these convenient features to control the camera using your smartphone (Remote) or copy pictures to your device (Sharing).
*Install the PlayMemories Mobile App to your compatible device.

Rated 4 out of 5 by jev55 from HX90V - Something's not quite right ! I purchased my HX90V in September 2015, Overall a nice piece of kit, really great images, struggles in low light an macro focus on the poor side. Designe: The on /off switch on the top would be better as a slide switch rather than a tiny little button that is flush with the top of the camera. The function knob on the top would benifit from a "Lock" button in the centre as on the A77m2. The camera has 3 ways you can turn it on and 2 ways you can turn it off ... don't understand WHY ? By October 2015 I realised that there was yet another way this camera can be turned on and off, it will do it all by itself without warning.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Anonymous from Could be better Bought this a couple of months ago to replace an HX50. Having a viewfinder is great though having to 'erect' it every time is a pain and also makes it vulnerable. The camera is a bit smaller than the previous one, perhaps a bit too small. It also doesn't seem to focus well with some subjects / light conditions. The GPS is nigh on useless, it takes too long to get a fix. One improvement over the HX50 is the ability to disable the movie button which is still badly positioned. It is also much more cumbersome to use - having to launch 'apps' to do things like control from your phone. It was so simple and much quicker with the previous camera.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Wwjdjake from Super zoom in your pocket When I'm out on my bike, I will not always have my Sony a7s and 70-200mm lens on me... For obvious reasons. But this little Dynamo is always on hand when I'm riding down at the beach, out in the bush or wherever to capture a shot of whales, kangaroos, birds etc. and with the evf I don't have to worry about spotting my subject in bright sunlight. The selfie style monitor has also come in handy for those selfie shots with the Kangaroos down on Lucky Bay. Brilliant! Yes the controls are small, but to get the features on such a compact camera, of course they will be small.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Micandtez from Lightweight with great zoom range Lots of features which I am just getting to grips with. The flash is very fiddly to bring up which must be done before it can be used. My previous one came up automatically. I take a lot of photos in bright sunshine so pop up viewfinder is great as I can see what I am taking rather than guessing. As a small point I pick it up and cannot immediately recognise whether it is upside down, which if you are in a rush to take a photo can be annoying. Buttons etc are all very small especially the on off button. I do not think it would be suitable for someone with big fingers. Other than that I am very pleased with my decision to buy it and would buy another.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Terry_McK from Fantastic camera has been my travel buddy I bought my first Sony HSX-90V just prior to departing on a 4 month trip through Asia, then on to Europe for 8 months. I left my DSLR at home as I wanted something easy to carry yet powerful. This camera has exceeded my expectations on all fronts, and I had no hesitation on buying another when I broke my first after dropping it from a great height. We have had marvelous responses to our Instagram account @travelkiwis where the photos have come almost exclusively from this camera. I love it and don't go anywhere without it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Les J from Good features - but queries remain Compared to my previous Cybershot camera, I was disappointed to find that capture of a still picture during video taking is not possible. Use of the sunk button to initiate video taking is perhaps easier than before, but a hard press produces an unstable picture (although the recording is OK). Video can be initiated when camera is set to the taking of still photos, eg P setting etc. When video is taken with camera on the "video" setting, I am often getting over-exposed film. I have yet to work out how to avoid these issues. Viewfinder is nice to have, although the screen seems rather subdued. Quality of still pictures and most video is excellent.

Rated 5 out of 5 by combat43 from Great all round little number Having already been an owner of the DSC-HX9V, I dropped hint after hint to my family, to get me the 90v. Christmas past they came up with the goods. the best way to write this review, is just to say all the features that this camera has, are top notch. the only down side to the camera is I cant delete multiple files from my memory card as I was able to do with the 9v, this means I would have to format the card when i wished to delete files, just a little erk. I am adding the first video I took with the 90v as a demo of it's awesome zoom and clarity.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Anonymous from Impressive Compact for Demanding Photographers We haven't had this long but have already taken some impressive photos. Full zoom - first day, got a wow squirrel photo at 1/40sec, impressive stabilisation; November moon, the closest for decades had to be photographed, superb result, this demanded good manual control of focus, spot metering and exposure - impressive for a compact camera. Manual focussing, normally impossible in the dark, was easy due to the screen display.
