Rated 1 out of 5 by Mr T from Poor Design We had the older model of this oven and was very happy with it. When the old one broke we replaced it with the current one. There are big differences with the models the first is to do with where the heat comes out. On the old one it came out at the back of the oven and with the fan on it cooked everything evenly but with the new model it comes out all over the bottom of the oven this means anything on the lower shelves cook faster at the bottom so you can end up with the bottom being over cooked. The shelves in the new model are a thinner metal so feel cheaper and move around. The old oven could be attached to a vent in the top so the gases could be vented outside, the new oven does not have this and instead is vented through the front of the oven just above the handle and below the knobs this can lead to the front of the oven getting hot to the touch and you can feel the heat coming out the front of the oven. This model feels cheap and has gone backwards in design. With the old model you could use three shelves plus put something on the bottom of the oven to keep warm, with the current model you can only use two shelves during normal cooking.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Flymy from Not happy this was the only oven we could have due to size and price and being on gas. Our last one was good but this one hot air comes out the top of the oven the last one had a chimney that took it out the top. This one seems to get smoky in the oven which blows into the kitchen making it smoky setting off my smoke alarm down the passage. Also don't like the electric griller. This oven makes my house smell no tether has. Bad design I dislike this oven, if it didn't make my house smell I would put up with it

Rated 4 out of 5 by fredaHJM67 from Great oven and grill Am very happy with my stainless steel gas oven (Westinghouse WVG665S) which I purchased in June 2017. Was a bit sceptical about the electric grill, as I always thought they were slow, but so far have WVG665S grill to cook well, and to do it quickly. The oven is also a lot quicker than my previous one, mainly because the door closes securely. All the items I have cooked to date have taken the time specified in recipes. There was a bit of juggling for positions to see where the best place was to put items to cook. I am slowly working that out. I don't mind the light being on in the oven all the time whilst cooking, as it does save you opening the door to see how things are progressing. There are only two criticisms I have - One is that the silver cookie/scone tray included with the oven is difficult to clean, and I have only ever used non-scratch products on it. What do you recommend I clean it with? Secondly, the oven (and grill) are pitch black inside, so cleaning is by a hit-and-miss method. I would have preferred a light that I could turn on or off for this process. What I do now is turn the oven control to defrost (just so I have light), without putting the oven thermostat on. Otherwise I wait until it is cool, and then place a small lantern in there, and clean it by that. It is a bit tedious though. All in all, am very happy with my new oven & grill.
