Raised in Queensland, Jye discovered boxing at All Star Boxing Academy, where he has trained since a young age. Through consistency, hard work and a strong competitive mindset, he has developed into one of Australia’s most accomplished emerging athletes.

Jye has already gained valuable experience competing internationally. At the Youth World Championships in Spain, he placed fifth, testing himself against some of the best young boxers in the world.
He later stepped up to the Elite World Championships, where he won multiple bouts and progressed to the quarterfinals, highlighting his ability to compete at a higher level.

With the Commonwealth Games ahead, Jye remains focused on his performance and making the most of the opportunity.
“I’m just focused on the Commonwealth Games and doing my best there.”
Competing for Australia continues to drive him forward, something he does not take for granted:
“It means everything to represent my country… it’s pretty surreal.”

“I’d have to say my mum. She’s always supported me through anything I do.”

“Just keep trying, don’t get distracted and show up every day.”
