panasonic nn-sd691s 32l inverter microwave oven - stainless steel is rated out of 5 by 18.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from Pretty Good! Upgraded from a 700W basic Microwave to this - and I"m glad i did. Much quicker cooking times, big capacity, and looks good, if stainless steel is your thing. Only small gripe i have is the power lead is fairly short and on the top right of the (back) microwave - i had to rearrange my kitchen to be able to plug it in !

Rated 3 out of 5 by sonz from good size, cooks great. i had the first one for about 3 weeks and it stopped working. it was replaced under warranty, now the second ones button to release the door is jammed and won't open. might just be bad luck, but 2 bad ones in a row isn't good. might try a different brand. apart from these problems the microwave worked really well.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Otoz from Front finish getting black marks after just 10 mth It's a great looking microwave oven with great features, but after only 10 months of use the front panel of the oven is getting black marks on what is suppose to be "stainless steel" material. A rep from HN told us that this is not covered by warranty!!! and is not willing to do anything about it blaming humidity in our kitchen, which is total rubbish as we have another 5 appliances with stainless steel and lot older than this microwave. BTW, the 'cool down' feature is really annoying too.

Rated 1 out of 5 by shortcircuit from DISAPPOINTING I have always owned only Panasonic microwave ovens -quality, long life & excellent technology. So I had no problem choosing another Panasonic model with confidence. It has great looks, the knob adjustment is a great feature. But.....the glass platter vibrates and makes such a noise at times that it sounds like the machine will fall apart. It seems to be a (poor) design change from my previous model -why re-invent the wheel, or in this case, the turntable drive-spindle shape & the diameter of the roller ring when the prevoius design worked without fault? Cost saving? It appears that Panasonic may have known of their noisy turntable as they mention it in their user guide: keep it clean to avoid excessive noise. Can't make mine any cleaner & it still sounds like an old rattletrap. I have experimented with various sizes & types of containers, but conclude that it can only ever operate acceptably quietly with nothing on the platter.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Shillo from Powerful, easy to use Microwave We had an earlier model Panasonic Microwave for years and only had to replace it due to one of the door latches breaking, could have replaced the door latch but the microwave had some age on it so decided to replace it. It was a no brainer to replace with a Panasonic again and we are very happy we did. We would have given 5 stars if the Stainless Steel didn't show up fingerprints but that is the only con that we can find.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Del6789 from loud, powerful Pros: looks good (main reason we bought it, powerful, heats stuff fast, simple to use Cons: loud, does this 'cooling down' function if you use it twice in a row which is annoying because that is also loud. no sneaky midnight snacks with this one!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Dean1 from Avoid Panasonic I broke one of the flimsy door clips really easily, then after only 8 months it stopped working. Called up warranty support and found out the only warranty repairer for Panasonic is 90 minutes away (I live in inner Melbourne). The only other microwave repairer nearby no longer deals with Panasonic. Aside from the poor build quality and lack of repairers the inverter is annoying as it causes the machine to be on when you don't have food in it. It looks nice but that's about it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by ninny from RUBBISH I would never again purchase a PANASONIC Microwave. It was hard to close the door without slamming it, it did not evenly heat. My previous microwave was a PANASONIC and lasted for 23 years that is why I purchased another. Will not be doing that again.
