      Key Features
      • With the ability to shoot 11 frames per second you can capture the dog mid leap, the ball as it sails through the goals or the light-filled flick of hair.
      • Get outstanding images every time you shoot, with the α6000's BIONZ X processor and 24.3MP APS HD CMOS sensor. Together the pair accurately captures textures and details and reduces noise and blurring.

      • With real-time data, the α6000's OLED Tru-Finder EVF allows you to plan and preview shots, whilst its Exposure Control compensates for overly bright/dim scenes.
      • Create memorable movies with the camera's full 1080 HD at 60p or 24p video functionality.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great features As a relative novice I purchased the ILCE-6000 on the advice from a photographer friend. It has the ability to be a fully manual camera or a very smart auto. One feature I really like is on manual the viewfinder shows what your photo will look like on each setting making it really easy to see if you have it right. The images are very sharp - as expected from 24 pixels as is the auto focus. Great camera for all levels. My only complaint is that the battery is charged through the phone, so you are limited to charging your extra batteries before you go out shooting rather than have one charging whilst you take photos. So far no external charger is available.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not compatible with current version of MacOS X I took this camera off my wishlist as soon as I saw that the current version of MacOS X (Mavericks, 10.9) is not supported. According to Sony, "Operating System Compatibility : supported, Windows Image Mastering API(IMAPI) Ver.2.0 or later is required to use the function for creating discs.) Windows Vista® SP2 (Starter Edition is not supported) Windows® 7 SP1; Windows® 8; Mac OS X (10.6-10.8)" OS X 10.9 has been available since last October, so I don't know why they have focused (ha ha) on earlier versions of Mac OS X. No GPS either, so I will be happy with my NEX-7 and another company's new GPS/WiFi/18MP point-and-shoot

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Future of Photography I had photography classes in high school some forty years ago. When digital cameras came a long, I bought a couple of pont and shoots, but wanted to get something better. I followed the A6000 on line before it was as released and bought one last May. This camera is just amazing. I'm still learning how to use the advanced features, but have been easily able to use it as an advanced point and shoot while I'm learning. The picture quality is outstanding. It's small and light. I think you will see more manufacturers making cameras like this and more people giving up their big, heavy DSLRs. I am very happy with this purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sony a6000 Great camera with super image quality. This is a travel camera to reduce weight on trips where my dslr is too bulky and heavy. A few compromises - image quality, high ISO noise performance, although good, is not a match for a ff dslr. Two irritating things - the SD card is very hard to remove because of its position immediately next to the hinge of the cover plate. Other is the location of the micro USB plug - as a mainly landscape photog, the addition of an L-bracket is important but cannot be used because the USB plug protrudes and interferes with the bracket/tripod head. Two irritations so far but will have to live with it until Sony fixes it in their next model.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Camera - weaker than expected battery I absolutely love my Sony A6000. My photos are consistently great - super luscious bokeh for a total amatuer. I did not buy the kit lens, rather bought the body the SEL35F18 fixed lens (52mm equivalent). Love the lens - creates a few awkward moments when the lens is not wide enough for space I am in - but fully compensated by the fabulous photos of my son. Very fast - great feel in the hand. The Autofocus sometimes has a bit of a mind of its own - sometimes hard to get to lock onto the subject I want. The other major gripe is the battery life is too short. Basically it needs to be recharged after every outing. I doubt it would make it through a whole day of heavy use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great pictures in any conditions I am not a professional photographer but with just a couple of lens I have been able to get great pictures no matter what the conditions. I love the ability of the camera to compile several shots with multiple settings through the software to get the results I want. I love the stitching process and have gotten great panos. The multi-flash capability is wonderful when you have backlit subjects. It is easy to fill in the proper light. Battery life has been better than I expected. The additional focusing spots gives excellent focus from the center of the picture to the edges. Overall this is a great buy for the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really really fast focus. I love this camera as usual has the fastest focus which is useful when I'm taking photos of my kids. Easy to use and also you get full manual control over the camera.Easy to connect to all my Sony devices around the house ie the tv and laptop. It's also great that it has wifi connectivity. In regards to Downloading of apps, my favourite is sync to smart phone, which allows me to transfer all pictures taken to my Smart Device once I turn the camera off. It's light weight and well built, and I love the electronic view finder feature it's very useful on sunny days too. This camera really makes photography enjoyable!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic camera Best camera I've owned. Prefer it to the A7 (for me), because it's lighter, smaller, cheaper, and the lenses are often lighter and cheaper. Also it's autofocus is superior, it has faster fps (11), excellent "tracking," (You can focus on a moving subject while shooting a still image, and the focus will track the subject. Very good higher ISO (but not as good as the A7). Better for sports shooting too. And a very good lens lineup--with some additions coming, I'm sure. The video, shot at 28 MP, 60 fps is excellent. Does lack a touch screen and convenient input for an external mic. Given it's price, it would be a crime not to get one, unless you've something similar or the A7.
