Rated 4 out of 5 by kalpachev from Great versalite little camera I bought this camera several months ago. Traveled around the world and have the camera with me most of the time. I am using mostly adapted old manual lenses. For the price - it delivers. A lot. WE have the flexibility to use it with almost any old manual lens. I am impressed, happy and will continue to use it as a back up camera (I bought Sony A7RII now) the only flaw is the my camera is not working with another flash unit. I tried several flashes, including Nissin I40 - all this flashes worked on another Sony A6000, so I guess my camera has some fault. I sent the camera for a warranty repair service a few days ago and hope it will be fixed...

Rated 5 out of 5 by JS in Sussex from Great compact camera I bought this camera on a friend's recommendation, and I am very pleased with it. It is light and easy to carry around my neck on its strap, whilst having the features and results of a much heavier SLR. The picture quality that I get is excellent, and operation of the camera including using the many features is fairly straightforward once used to the menu system. Very occasionally a picture taken seems to become corrupted before saving properly onto the SD card, which only becomes apparent when played back, but this is thankfully rare. Overall, it's a great camera for its price, and makes high quality photography accessible without the need to carry a large SLR.

Rated 5 out of 5 by AndrewH from Small, Flexible and Powerful Beautifully small and light, but far from feeling like a toy camera. Looking at the key features - very fast autofocus, plus a range of focus options. 11fps continuous burst with AF tracking. Useful tilt screen. Mine came as a twin lens kit with a 16-50 and a 55-210 zoom. Both are excellent lenses, despite being considered "kit". The camera produces great quality images and provides me with a credible, easy carry alternative to my full-frame DSLRs. I'm not really interested in video, so for me, 1080 is perfectly adequate for any little clips that I might ever take, although I would probably look for an external mic set up. For me, this is a stills camera and a very good one at that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by DaveX from Fantastic Camera and SMALL !!! This compares favourably to any APS-C camera on the market, but it does so in a lot less space. It is a fully fledged camera in a body that makes it look more like a slightly overgrown compact camera. The genuinely useful extras, such as the NFC "tap-to-connect" via WiFi for remote control, have been noticed by the "old guard" manufacturers and they are playing catchup. But they couldn't hope to lose enough weight and size to ever compete with this little beauty... Use a serious camera all day, and don't wake up with a sore back the next day, is what I tell people ;-)

Rated 5 out of 5 by BPae from Lightweight Semi-professional Camera I bought this camera because I would like to work as a photographer later, so I need to take photos for my portfolio, and a smartphone camera or a compact camera like the Sony Cybershot series might not provide the necessary picture quality. But this camera definitely does, especially for the price. It might not be a fully professional camera, mainly because it doesn't have a full frame sensor, but in most situations it's sufficient for taking impressive photos. There are many different modes, I was particularly impressed by a night scene mode which takes clear pictures at night with very little light without the flashlight or a tripod.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Sleeping dog from Great camera Having read all the reviews I purchased this camera for the view finder having had nothing but trouble viewing my previous cameras screens in bright sunlight. Now I have both options and find they are both exceptional. The camera is brilliant its size is just right for traveling pops in my shoulder bag without taking up to much space and can easily be carried in a coat pocket and can do all what most if not more that can be done with an SLR. Wanted to get back to do some photography with a proper camera and from only having used it for the last few months feel to going to given no end of enjoyment for a long time. I highly recommended this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Rorionb from Great Camera - weaker than expected battery I absolutely love my Sony A6000. My photos are consistently great - super luscious bokeh for a total amatuer. I did not buy the kit lens, rather bought the body the SEL35F18 fixed lens (52mm equivalent). Love the lens - creates a few awkward moments when the lens is not wide enough for space I am in - but fully compensated by the fabulous photos of my son. Very fast - great feel in the hand. The Autofocus sometimes has a bit of a mind of its own - sometimes hard to get to lock onto the subject I want. The other major gripe is the battery life is too short. Basically it needs to be recharged after every outing. I doubt it would make it through a whole day of heavy use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by kdoc from Fantastic camera Best camera I've owned. Prefer it to the A7 (for me), because it's lighter, smaller, cheaper, and the lenses are often lighter and cheaper. Also it's autofocus is superior, it has faster fps (11), excellent "tracking," (You can focus on a moving subject while shooting a still image, and the focus will track the subject. Very good higher ISO (but not as good as the A7). Better for sports shooting too. And a very good lens lineup--with some additions coming, I'm sure. The video, shot at 28 MP, 60 fps is excellent. Does lack a touch screen and convenient input for an external mic. Given it's price, it would be a crime not to get one, unless you've something similar or the A7.
