Georgia Hale is a leader at both club and international level, captaining the Gold Coast Titans and the Kiwi Ferns while setting the standard through the middle of the field. A dominant lock forward, she is known for her toughness through the middle, consistency in defence and ability to set the tone for her side.
Raised on the East Coast Bays of Auckland, New Zealand, Hale developed her love for the game from a young age. She attended Long Bay College and began her rugby league journey with the Richmond Roses, laying the foundations for what would become an elite career at both club and international level.

Hale made her international debut for New Zealand in 2015 and has since become a central figure in the Kiwi Ferns setup. Her performances have consistently been recognised at the highest level, highlighted by her 2023 IRL Golden Boot Award, cementing her status as one of the game’s leading players.
As a captain, Hale leads through her actions, bringing intensity, effort and consistency to every performance. Her role through the middle is built on defensive resilience and work rate, setting clear standards for those around her and providing a strong platform for her team.
Off the field, Hale balances elite sport with her work as a disability support worker, supporting children with intellectual disabilities. Her commitment to community was recognised in 2020 when she was named Young New Zealander of the Year for her advocacy in community health.
Her journey to the top reflects determination and sacrifice. Early in her career, Hale contributed to her own travel and accommodation costs to represent New Zealand, demonstrating her commitment to pursuing rugby league at the highest level.
With leadership roles across both club and country, and a career defined by consistency and resilience, Hale continues to play a significant role in the growth of women’s rugby league while setting the standard for those coming through the game.
