A completely new CameraPlay feature lets players connect a compatible USB camera, displaying their real-time reactions in small video bubbles above their in-game characters, making every shared moment feel more personal and expressive.

Even players who stick with the original Switch version can look forward to the free Version 3.0 update, launching alongside the Switch 2 Edition. This major content drop introduces exciting new areas and features that make every island feel fresh again. One highlight is the Resort Hotel on the pier, a new venue run by Kapp’n’s family, where players can decorate guest rooms, choose themes, host visiting tourists, and earn exclusive furniture and clothing rewards.
