A Garmin watch does more than tell the time. These smart watches track your training, map your adventures and keep tabs on your health – all from your wrist.

With built-in GPS, accurately map your runs, rides and hikes while advanced workout and sleep tracking features help you push further and smash your PBs!

Watch this space for top features:

    • Heart Rate monitoring for real-time and resting heart rate data.
    • Pulse Ox to estimate blood oxygen levels.
    • Body Battery™ energy monitoring to track daily energy reserves.
    • Stress Tracking and HRV Status to understand recovery and readiness.

Some Garmin smartwatch models even offer smart connectivity – take calls and reply to texts with Venu 3, or get cellular phone-free messaging and safety alerts with fēnix 8 Pro.

With models designed for everything from everyday activity to extreme adventures, the best Garmin watch is one that keeps up with your lifestyle, training and goals.

How long does a Garmin watch battery last?

Garmin are known for their seriously long-lasting battery, but the exact time between charges depends on the model and the features you use, such as GPS tracking, always-on display or music playback.

In smartwatch mode – that’s regular use with notifications and health tracking – battery life can vary between models. Take 5 to take a look:

    • Lily 2 – Up to 9 days
    • Forerunner 265 – Up to 13 days
    • Fēnix 8 – Up to 29 days

That kind of battery life means your Garmin watch can keep up from dawn to dusk – and then some!

    Are Garmin watches waterproof?

Most Garmin watch models are water-resistant, with ratings ranging from IP65 for light splashes all the way up to 20 ATM for depths up to 200m.

Water-resistant doesn’t mean waterproof, so it’s best to check the rating of each specific model before you dive in:

    • Swimming (5 ATM) – Models like the Garmin Venu and Garmin Lily are perfect for swimming laps, post-workout showers and everyday wear.
    • Open-Water Swimming & Water Sports (10 ATM) – fēnix 8 Pro and Instinct series are designed for open-water swimming, paddle sports and snorkelling.
    • Recreational Diving (Up to 40m) – Premium options like fēnix 8 even support recreational dives, with a dive rating and EN13319-compliant depth sensor.
    • Advanced Scuba Diving (Up to 200m) – Go deeper with Descent Mk3 series, featuring advanced dive modes and EN13319 certification.

Are Garmin smart watches compatible with all phones?

Pretty much! Garmin watches work with both iPhone and Android devices. All you need to get started is the free Garmin Connect™ app, which lets you sync activities, view health data and manage your watch settings.

Most core features – like GPS, activity monitoring and health metrics – work the same across platforms, though some connected features vary.

Have an Android? You can send quick replies to texts straight from your watch. Team iPhone? You can still receive and view message notifications – you just won’t be able to reply.
