When is GTA 6 coming out?

Grand Theft Auto VI comes out on Thursday, 19 November 2026. It launches exclusively on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with no PC release confirmed yet – watch this space!

Where is GTA 6 set?

GTA 6 takes you back to Vice City – Rockstar's neon, Miami-inspired playground. This time it's part of the much larger state of Leonida, which stretches from sun-drenched beaches and swampy wetlands to rural highlands.

How long has GTA 6 been in development?

It's been well over a decade since Grand Theft Auto V hit the shelves back in 2013, making this the longest gap between releases in the franchise's history.

Rockstar first teased the development of Grand Theft Auto VI in February 2022, before dropping the first trailer in December 2023. A second trailer followed in May 2025, and after some delays, the November 2026 release date was finally locked in.
