Your Christmas Tree FAQs
What to look for in an artificial Christmas tree?
Here are some handy tips to consider when choosing the best artificial tree for your home this Christmas:
- Size – Measure the available space in your home to find a tree that will fit comfortably in your space. We have everything from small Christmas trees for smaller living areas to 6ft, 7ft and 8ft beauties that stand proud beneath high ceilings.
- Shape – We have full trees for roomy areas, slim or narrow trees for tight spaces and half trees that are a more apartment-friendly solution. Be sure to measure your available floor space and cross-check it with the tree's dimensions for the perfect fit.
- Colour – Choose from classic green Christmas trees, white Christmas trees, trees with a dusting of faux snow, and so much more.
- Price – Prices vary based on size, light types, and other features, so determine your budget to find a tree that best meets your needs.
What type of Christmas tree is best?
There are many benefits to choosing an artificial tree for Christmas! Save time and money by investing in a faux fir that you can reuse yearly. Artificial trees eliminate extra maintenance such as watering and sweeping up pesky pine needles. Plus, they're available in an array of colours and styles, big or small, to suit every decorating theme of choice.
These are some of the best artificial trees to buy this holiday season:
- Green Christmas Trees – Want a realistic Christmas tree? With pine needles, fir and branch tips, these artificial trees are nearly as convincing as the real thing.
- Pre-Lit Christmas Trees – Say goodbye to detangling Christmas lights, these trees come with fibre optic or LED lights built into their branches.
- Snowy Christmas Trees – Feature a dusting of artificial snow for a winter wonderland feel, Australia style!
- Twig Christmas Trees – Made for minimalists, these trees have bare branches illuminated by twinkling LED lights.
When should you put up your Christmas tree?
Putting up the Christmas tree is a significant event that's widely regarded as the beginning of the festive season, but there are differing opinions on the most appropriate date to start decorating your home.
Traditionally, Christmas trees were expected to be put up at the beginning of Advent, which is the fourth Sunday before the big event, but anything goes! Some households hold off until December 1st while others deck the halls with indoor Christmas decorations and outdoor Christmas decorations straight after Halloween!
