SD Cards

Expand your device’s storage with an SD card. Whether you need a micro SD card, SDHC / SDXC card, or a card reader, we have it covered. Shop memory cards from Samsung, SanDisk, and more top brands online or in-store at Harvey Norman.

What size memory card do I need?

Finding the right SD card size will depend on your device and storage needs. For digital cameras, a 32GB or 64GB SD card will provide ample space, while video cameras or drones typically need a higher capacity memory card to support high-resolution videos. At Harvey Norman, we offer memory cards in a variety of sizes, from 32GB to 2TB, ensuring you’ll find the perfect match for your needs. Remember, compatibility matters too – smaller devices like mobile phones, GoPros, and dash cams often need a micro SD memory card instead of a standard SD card.

What are the different SD card formats?

Available in a range of formats, SD cards can handle storing photos, backups, or file transfers with ease. Take a look at different memory cards available:

• Micro SD card – Compact and versatile, micro SD cards are the smallest flash memory card in the market. Because of their size, they are primarily used in devices like mobile phones and dash cams.
• SDHC (Secure Digital High Capacity) card – Offering capacities up to 32GB, these SD cards are ideal for small digital cameras or camcorders.
• SDXC (Secure Digital Extended Capacity) card – With faster read speeds and capacities ranging from 32GB to several terabytes, SDXC cards are suited to users with high-volume storage requirements for large files like high-definition videos or RAW photos.

Are memory cards compatible with gaming consoles?

If you’ve run out of internal storage on your gaming console, don’t despair! Whether you have a PlayStation, Xbox, or Nintendo Switch, you can use a memory card to increase your console’s storage in a flash. With an SD or micro SD card, you’ll have more room for your favourite games, downloadable content, and other data.
