The Burley Ballz Thru Axle Bike Trailer Hitch Attachment is a solution specifically designed for bikes equipped with a 12mm thru axle to allow a Burley hitch and a Burley Coho XC Trailer to be attached to your bike.
Please note that generic stock thru axles are not able to accommodate any sort of axle mounted hitch system. A Burley Ballz Thru Axle is required for any bike with a 12mm rear thru axle to use the Coho XC Bike Trailer. The Burley Ballz Thru Axle is not compatible with all carbon fiber bike frames (consult manual).

Note:
- Carefully read the instructions provided, your Burley trailer manual, and your bicycle manual.
- Carefully follow all the instructions included with the thru Axle.
- Confirm that the towing bicycle is suitable for pulling trailers before use. Pulling a trailer with a bicycle that has not been approved by its manufacturer for towing can result in frame breakage or other material damage.
- Burley Thru Axle and Hitch must be installed to the appropriate bolting torque before use. Please consult your local bike shop if you do not have a properly calibrated torque wrench for installation.
- Burley Ballz Thru Axle is only to be used when using an attached trailer. Using a wider axle can increase the risk of impacting trail and roadside objects.
- The bike manufacturer-supplied axle must be used when a trailer is not in use.
