De-Nox Technology
Unique to the Dyson HP12, the De-Nox filter targets nitrogen dioxide (NO2) and other harmful gases that may be present in the air. It works to remove pollutants from the air, ensuring a healthier living space by purifying the environment of potentially harmful gases, particularly in urban settings.
K Carbon & Destroys Formaldehyde
The K-Carbon filter is impregnated with potassium carbonate (K2CO3) and can adsorb 50% more nitrogen dioxide - a common indoor pollutant, produced by gas appliances, open flames, and wood burning stoves. The HP12 Automatically detects and destroys formaldehyde, permanently.²

Dyson’s advanced 360° Glass HEPA filter captures 99.97% of allergens and pollutants as small as 0.3 microns, including pollen, pet dander, and dust. This ensures that the air you breathe is not only cleaner but healthier. Four sensors interact with a unique algorithm for precise air quality monitoring. Automatically detects airborne particles and gases, then diagnoses and reports them in real time. LCD display reports in real time on PM 2.5, PM 10, HCHO, VOCs & NO2.

Dyson’s Air Multiplier™ technology ensures powerful airflow and consistent air distribution throughout the room. Tested for filtration efficiency at 0.1 microns (EN1822), air projection (DTM801), purification coverage in a 81m3 room (TM-003711) and heating performance in a 35m3 room (DTM 961).
Particle challenge by DEHS oil specified in ISO29463 within a chamber specified in ASTM F3150. Tested in Max Mode at SGS IBR US, for whole machine efficiency above 99.95%.
Tested to Dyson test method TM-003387. In a 3 cubic meter test chamber, at fan speed 10, at third-party test laboratory (Fraunhofer WKI), comparison against regular activated carbon performance.
Third party full machine testing based on GB/T 18801-2022 formaldehyde cumulative clean mass testing with continuous injection until plateau of formaldehyde CADR is achieved. Results may vary in practice.
