What shape dining table should I get?

Whether you’re working with a small or large space, the shape of your dining table should enhance the flow of the room. The selection of dining table shapes at Harvey Norman includes:

• Round Dining Tables – Create an intimate atmosphere that’s perfect for dinner parties and conversation. An absence of sharp corners means they take up less room and are a safer option for young children.
• Oval Dining Tables – Combining features of round and rectangular shapes, oval dining tables offer a practical solution for accommodating additional guests while maintaining an intimate dining experience.
• Square Dining Tables – Flaunting geometric mastery, square dining tables work best in square rooms. Suited to dining rooms big or small, they’re a great choice for fostering conversation among guests.
• Rectangle Dining Tables – A classic choice, rectangle dining tables are perfect for elongated rooms or open floor plans. They can accommodate larger groups, making them well-suited for large households or entertainers.

What is the best material for a dining table?

A dining table should offer more than just good looks and style. It should also be durable and easy to maintain, ready to handle any spills, scratches, or wear and tear from kids, pets, and more. From indoor to outdoor dining tables, you can explore a feast of dining table material options at Harvey Norman:

• Marble Dining Tables – Marble has a sophisticated aesthetic and unique markings, rich in texture and tone. With regular maintenance, it’s a durable surface that resists heat and stains.
• Wooden Dining Tables – Come home to a Hamptons or weathered coastal look that exudes classic charm. Offering easy maintenance, a wooden dining table will be a lasting beauty for years to come.
• Glass Dining Tables – Add simple sophistication whilst creating the illusion of openness to a room. Easy to clean and maintain, they’re a low-maintenance addition to any home.
• Concrete Dining Tables – Make a bold statement with a concrete dining table. Edgy and industrial, these tables promise durability without compromising on style.
